They are a cool way to express your creativity through symbolism. The flexibility and functionality of ambigram tattoos are what make them so popular. It is important to remember that you take proper care before and after getting a tattoo to prevent infections or issues.ĭiscover the captivating art of ambigram tattoos, showcasing stunning designs of names and words that cleverly transform and mirror themselves. The versatility of ambigram tattoos is the main reason for their popularity. It is a reminder that one’s outlook can shift, and the ambivalence of existence is part of what makes it beautiful and complex. This tattoo is not only a work of art but also a personal reflection of the wearer’s perspective of life. The duality of this ambigram highlights the intricacies of the human experience, acknowledging that life is a mix of blessings and challenges. Contrasting that, when flipped, it transforms into ‘Cursed’, symbolizing the trials and tribulations that life throws at us. When viewed one way, it spells out ‘Blessed’, serving as a reminder of the positive aspects of life, gratitude, and the good fortunes we encounter. I know a guy who does terrible tattoos, he can draw well with pens and paper but it DOES NOT translate to tattooing ink on a person's skin.Įither way, to each his own, but people with full or partial face and neck tattoos tend to have some mental issues from what I've seen. This design is the perfect example of how visual symmetry can convey contrasting messages. I do want a small luna moth on the inside of my wrist one day but I need a tattooist who is good to do the work.Īnother thing is a lot of the artwork people get is shoddily done. I have other tattoo ideas but I haven't gotten any done yet. I got a bald eagle after he passed away, it's holding a ribbon in its talons with his name on it. I have one tattoo, it's of a bald eage, I don't care for eagles (I have nothing against them but they're not my favorite animal) but my dad loved them. Tattoos should mean something, after all, it's there permanently. You can tell when people really think about what they want and get a great artist to do the tattoo. Remember the barbed wire tattoo trend? Or the ribbon tattoo trend? The Asian character tattoo trend? The star(s) tattoo trend? We can go on and on. Also a lot of people get trendy sh!t b/c it's the popular thing and it doesn't age well. Most people get random ass scribbles and it ends up looking like a kids notebook. I agree that most people's tattoos are awful. Sorry to burst your bubble but that isn't the case. The sad part is that virtually everyone who has them swears they're the exceptional one whose tattoos are "art", lol. Those discreet ones went out of favor like 15 years ago and were replaced with more overtly visible pieces which just look trashier and trashier. When they're tiny and/or in hidden places then it's more negligible but those aren't even the ones people get anymore. It's especially unfortunate when you see a beautiful woman only to later notice that she has some awful, gaudy tattoo somewhere on her body. Gen X and older still had sense when it came to taking pride in your appearance and how you present yourself. I agree with the font who said it started getting out of hand with us millennials. This is not just a black people problem though, it's pretty much all races nowadays. And personally, I've always been hugely turned off by men with visible tattoos. Nothing sullies a woman's beauty quite like tattoos, my goodness. 99.9% of tattoos look awful and take away from a person's beauty, especially women.
